On Saturday, after my son Bob, his friend Jeff, and I got done playing basketball, Jeff asked me about my upcoming motorcycle trip.
Bob answered for me.
“It’s like Wild Hogs”, he said, “only Marisa Tomei isn’t involved, so it isn’t nearly as interesting.”
Fair Enough. Still, it beats working.
Here are some observations from the first day, Friday, which got us to Burns.
– As per custom, I waved to every bike I saw, all 14 of them. Seven waved back, a disappointing percentage.
– Sisters looks hokier every time I pass through.
– The gas station, where we stopped in Bend, let us serve ourselves, including swiping our own cards.
– First day top speed: 90 mph.
Catch you tomorrow from the Nevada-Utah state line.
