Yes, I realize the Top 7′s have been sort of music heavy as of late but, well, like I always say, my blog, my prerogative. Or words to that effect.
And I hadn’t necessarily planned on doing another rock and roll rundown this week, but on Sunday morning I heard on the radio a song dealing with sunshine just as, despite the calendar reading June 24, gray clouds prepared to dump more rain on the valley.
So in an effort to lure some warm weather our way, I decided to do a digital sun dance and compile the list you are about to read: My Top 7 songs with variations of the word sun in the title.
Here we go:
1) Sunshine Superman, Donovan.
2) Sunshine, Jonathan Edwards (the song that inspired the list, btw).
3) Sunshine of my Love, Cream.
4) Here Comes the Sun, the Beatles.
5) Sundown, Gordon Lightfoot.
6) Sunshine on my Shoulder, John Denver.
7) Don’t let the sun go down on me, Elton John
PS — Yes, we have earlier had a Top 7 about rain songs.
